Police arrest 42 homosexuals in Lagos hotel

No less than 42 men professedly associated with gay acts have been captured by the police. 

It was learnt that the suspects were gathered together at a lodging at Weigh Bridge in Owode Onirin territory of Lagos State on Saturday. 

It was learnt that the inn, Vincent Hotel, where they were gotten in the demonstration had been closed. 

An inhabitant of the zone, who gave his name just as Tunji, said policemen from the Owode Onirin Division swooped on the suspects around 3.30 pm. 

He stated, "There have been reports that the inn harbors gay people. They were there this evening when policemen struck. Around 40 of them were gotten in the demonstration." 

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olarinde Famous-Cole, affirmed the capture. 

He included that the suspects had been given over to the state team for indictment. 

He stated, "It is valid. Around 42 suspected gay people were captured and the inn has been excused off while examination proceeds. They are in authority of the Lagos State Task Force and will be charged to court soon."
